Simacan welcomes Sanne, Customer Support Engineer
Hi Sanne, welcome to Simacan! What will you be doing at Simacan and what are you looking forward to?
I will be joining the support team as a customer support engineer, which means I will be answering phones and emails from customers, about questions or problems they have. I'm looking forward to learning all about the Simacan platform and how people work with it, and contributing to Simacan’s growth in any way I can.
What did you do before the Simacan adventure started?
A long time ago, I got my masters degree in Biology, and after that a job at a medical information supplier. At first I was involved in writing and later this shifted to application management of their software. Then I switched to an ICT company where I was an application support engineer for their many applications, including a huge and compex ERP. Then I got a message from Simacan about a similar, but new and exciting job, and here I am.
You started with us at a crazy time, but nevertheless, I hope you had a good start. How was your first impression of Simacan?
The crazy time is hopefully coming to an end, so this feels like a good time to start. I really enjoyed our Reboarding day, glad I could be a part of it - I think it was a 'boarding day' for me!
My first impression is that the people here really have the drive to build something together, a common goal. I love how ambitious the long-term goals of the company are, a vision for the future that I'd like to be a part of.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
I live in Leusden, near Amersfoort, overlooking the Valleikanaal - where I like to go kayaking. I have a husband, two kids ( 9 & 12 years old) and two cats. I enjoy SF & Fantasy in all kinds of media and I will definitely be attending Simacan’s board game evenings.
