Welcome Vincent, Digital marketeer
Hi Vincent, welcome to Simacan! What will you be doing at Simacan and what are you looking forward to?
Simacan is growing fast, and I would like to make a major contribution to this growth. I would like to do this by further expanding the digital foundation, generate more leads in a creative way and investigate which programmes are the best for Simacan, now and in the future. The core values of Simacan appeal to me enormously. Furthermore, I am looking forward to work closely together with my colleagues from Marketing and Sales. At my previous job, I had contact with almost every department.
Where did your working life start for you?
It started at the age of about 9-10. I used to do small jobs in the neighbourhood for my neighbours, like cutting the grass, walking the dog or washing the car. At my first employer, KPN, I started in the mailroom, and within four years I worked my way up to become the youngest account manager.
After working in sales, I started my own business in 2003 and built up and successfully sold several companies: a travel agency, a translation agency and a plumbing order site. At my last employer, I was responsible for the roll-out of various e-commerce projects and lead generation.
How was your first impression of Simacan, even though you were not able to meet your new colleagues in real life?
My first impression was immediately good and corresponded to what I had read on the Simacan website: involved, personal, ambitious and interested. My job interview felt more like an introductory meeting. They acted quickly and this appealed to me immediately.
Would you like to tell something about yourself?
I am the father of two beautiful, smart and sweet children. I live in Almere Poort with a lovely view of the water. As Digital marketeer, I'm really looking forward to using smart campaigns, together with Sales, to bring in more clients for Simacan. I have a lot of (positive) energy and this is often contagious to my colleagues. Furthermore, I am sometimes impatient and I can enjoy humour enormously, even when it is at the expense of myself or my colleagues. I love sports. Anything with a racket is fun, but tennis is really my sport. I try to combine my morning ritual with yoga.
